about
The members of the Tea Thieves came together over a long time. Todd started out at as an acoustic solo artist plying his self-penned tunes down at CD-FU, a tea house in Budapest, and was joined first by Jamie on electric guitar and later by Mike on Bass.
A year or so and one demo later, Scott entered the fray and the quartet was set for bigger and better things. Two more demos and a clutch of ever improving gigs later and the band was on their way up.
However, being all ex-pats abroad lead inevitably to the sad break up of the group as various members left to return to their home countries.

lyrics
Dawn
The humming of the falling snow,
Pulls you from sleep,
Downstairs into the kitchen.
You are only just beginning.
You wipe the steam from the window,
You grind some coffee, a flake of falling snow,
You are only just beginning
To see through the window...
A blank slate is written in the sky.
And we will rise into the night.
The naked light,
Burning bright,
But you will not turn away.
You're spinning in your bath robe,
Your slippers and the snow dissolves away.
You are only just beginning.
The unpaid bills, the family feuds,
They wash away,
Connect the snow to sky,
Only just beginning.
To see through the window...
A blank slate is written in the sky.
And we will rise into the night.
The naked light,
Burning bright,
But you will not turn away.
